Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

RIS Phuket respects the privacy of the families, prospective students, and visitors who use this website. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1.Introduction & scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Ruamrudee International School Phuket (“RIS Phuket”, “the school”, “we”) collects and uses personal information through this public website. It applies to visitors who browse the site and to people who contact us or request a tour through the forms provided here.

Personal information handled within the school’s enrolled-family and staff systems is governed by separate arrangements provided to those users and is not covered by this policy.

2.Who we are

Ruamrudee International School Phuket (RIS Phuket) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Our campus is at 22/28 Moo 3 Chalong, Mueang Phuket, Phuket 83000, Thailand.

3.Information we collect

Information you provide.When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. When you request a school tour we collect the parent or guardian’s name, email address, and phone number, the name and date of birth of each child you include, and any message you add.

Information collected automatically.We use our own, privacy-conscious analytics to understand how the website is used. This records pages visited, a randomly generated session identifier stored only in your browser’s session storage (not a cookie), the website that referred you, and campaign parameters in the link you followed. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers. Our servers necessarily receive your device’s IP address in order to deliver pages; we do not use it to identify you. If error monitoring is enabled, limited technical diagnostic data may be collected to help us fix faults, configured to exclude personal information.

Cookies.This website uses only functional cookies — for example to remember that you have dismissed a notice, or your preferred language. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4.How we use your information & our lawful basis

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange the tour or information you requested;
  • operate, secure, maintain, and improve this website;
  • keep records of communications with prospective families.

Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), we rely on your consent when you submit an enquiry or tour request, and on our legitimate interests and the necessity of operating the website for automatically collected usage and security information.

5.Children's information

The tour-request form asks for a child’s name and date of birth. This information is provided by the parent or guardian, on their consent, and is used only to arrange the requested visit and to communicate with the family about it. Please do not submit a child’s details unless you are their parent or guardian or are otherwise authorised to do so.

6.Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website — such as our hosting and infrastructure providers, and our error-monitoring provider where enabled — and only as needed for those services.

Some pages include content embedded from third parties, such as a Google Map on our contact page and videos or social posts within news articles. When such content loads, your browser may share technical data (such as your IP address) with those providers under their own privacy policies.

We may disclose information where required to do so by law or to protect the school’s rights and safety.

7.International data transfers

The service providers and infrastructure we use to operate this website are located in Singapore, so your personal information may be processed on servers outside Thailand. Where personal information is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection consistent with the PDPA.

8.Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for the school’s legitimate administrative and record-keeping purposes.

9.Your rights under the PDPA

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to delete your information, or object to or restrict how we use it;
  • withdraw a consent you have given, without affecting prior processing;
  • lodge a complaint with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.

10.Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page.
