From Stories to Smiles: “Phee Lao Nong Fang” – Stories Shared Across Grades

At Ruamrudee International School Phuket, learning goes beyond academic achievement. We also value opportunities for students of different ages to connect, communicate, and learn from one another through meaningful learning experiences. By bringing older and younger students together, we aim to foster positive relationships, kindness, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging within our school community.
This week, our Grade 8 and Grade 9 students had a special opportunity to connect with our Kindergarten studentsthrough the Thai Language activity “Phee Lao Nong Fang” (พี่เล่าน้องฟัง) — Older Students Tell Stories to Younger Students.
As part of the activity, Grade 8 and 9 students created and prepared their own stories before bringing them to life through engaging and creative storytelling. This gave our older students the opportunity to develop their communication, creativity, language, story development, presentation, and problem-solving skills, while building confidence through an authentic learning experience.
At the same time, our Kindergarten students enjoyed listening, interacting, and discovering new stories presented especially for them. The activity created a warm and meaningful connection between different age groups, encouraging our students to care for one another, share their knowledge, and learn together.
More than just a storytelling activity, “Phee Lao Nong Fang” reflects our belief that some of the most meaningful learning happens when students have the opportunity to learn by doing, learn from one another, and contribute to their school community.
